With the R78 and HX87 starter motors as well as the HX(F)95 Series Bosch offers reliable starters for commercial-vehicles in the 12 V segment. Thanks to the four-polemultiple-circuit winding of the HX(F) starter motors, we have achieved a further increase in performance. The enhanced design of the armature and stator housing considerably improves cold-start performance. The robust, yet extremely compact construction protects these starter motors from vibration, dirt and water intrusion, guaranteeing a long service life.

The 24 V segment is covered by the HX87 starter motor as well as by versions of the HX(F)95 series and the HEF109 series. These starter motors are characterized by high coldstart performance, space saving design as well as robustness for a long service life.

The modular starter motor concept enables to precisely and very efficiently adapt the HEF109 and HX(F)95 starter motors to the specific needs and requirements of the customers.

Parallel starting system for 24 V electrical systems

Parallel starting systems are recommended for use with large engines or engines with high additional hydraulic loads.

They consist of two or three coupled HEP109 starter motors and have a service life of up to 800,000 km (on-highway) or 14,000 h in off-highway operation, or the equivalent in operating hours for stationary machines.

  • For gasoline engines up to 180 l
